What types of organizations does EquiAudit work with?
EquiAudit works with health systems, NHS Integrated Care Boards, health insurers, state health agencies, healthcare AI developers and vendors, and government contractors. If you are deploying or procuring AI in a clinical or administrative health setting, we can help.
Do you need access to patient records to conduct an audit?
No. The Geographic Equity Intelligence Profile uses publicly available data only. Equity Screenings work from vendor documentation. Full Equity Audits use performance data your organization already holds — we do not require access to individual patient records.
How is EquiAudit different from using a bias detection tool like IBM AI Fairness 360?
Technical tools are designed for data scientists who are building models. EquiAudit is designed for health system leaders, compliance officers, and procurement teams deciding whether to deploy a tool. We provide independent expert judgment and plain-language findings — not statistical outputs that require technical expertise to interpret.
Is EquiAudit a legal compliance service?
No. EquiAudit provides an AI Deployment Equity Risk Rating, regulatory mapping, and due diligence documentation support — we show you how audit findings align with FDA, EU AI Act, CMS, and CLAS requirements, and produce the evidence base your organisation needs to demonstrate equity due diligence. Legal compliance determinations require qualified legal counsel. We work alongside your legal team, not instead of them.
Do you work with UK NHS organisations?
Yes. Our team has direct NHS experience and ongoing engagement with NHS Integrated Care Boards. EquiAudit's framework maps to NHS AIDRS requirements as well as the EU AI Act frameworks applicable in the UK.
How long does an engagement take?
A Geographic Equity Intelligence Profile takes 2–3 weeks. An Equity Screening takes 2–3 weeks. A Full Equity Audit takes 6–10 weeks depending on the complexity of the tool and the depth of documentation available. Ongoing Monitoring Retainers are structured monthly.
